Jason Genco would turn things around after a disastrous previous week’s outing to grab the win in the RUSH Crate Late Models. David Scott would go coast to coast in the UMP Modifieds. Jason Black would hit the jackpot again in the Pro Stocks. It was all Steve Dixon in the RUSH Pro Mods, and Chris Horton returned to his winning ways in the Challenger thriller.

First up would be the RUSH Crate Late Models. Wheelman Jason Genco definitely put the previous week behind him, grabbing the lead from race leader Andy Michael on lap 9, to cruise  to his second Stateline RUSH Crate Late Model win of the season. Andy Michael would win the fierce battle for 2nd, Sinclairville, NY’s David Parker was 3rd, Khole Wanzer in one of his best runs of the season was 4th and Matt Sipes would end up 5th.

This would also be #44’s 39th career Super Late Model win at the Chautauqua County Speed Plant, making him 5th on the all-time winners list. Chub Frank would win a great battle for 2nd, by getting by Greg Oakes on the final lap to secure the bridesmaid spot. Oakes, Dutch Davies, and Kyle Bedell, in his best run of the season, would complete the top 5.

In the nightcap, would be the always thrilling front wheel drive Challengers. A great battle would take place between the two flashy wheelmen of John Mease and Chris Horton. Mease would hold off a persistent Horton, until the final turns of the final lap, when Mease and Horton would split a lapped car between turns 3 & 4, with Horton grabbing his needed momentum down the front stretch to overtake race long leader Mease at the checkereds, for a thrilling second Stateline Challenger win of 2023.
