April 28, 2016

Busti, NY (April 28, 2016): Stateline Speedway by LiteHouse Auto will roar to life Saturday evening when all seven classes will run a  regular program of heats and features.

Headlining the weekly program of racing will be the Overhead Door of Jamestown Super Late Models, the class highlighting the evening throughout the track’s 60 year history. Returning to defend his championship title will be Greg Oakes of Franklinville, NY. But it won't be easy for Oakes to repeat with stiff competition from former champions Rob Blair of Titusville, PA, Rich Gardner of Waterford, PA,  and two-time champion Dutch Davies of Warren, PA.    Joining the Super Late Models will be the Shults Auto Group RUSH Crate Late a models led by defending champion Jason Genco of Frewsburg, NY and two-time champion Damian Bidwell of Eldred, PA. Garland, PA’s Wyatt Scott and Jamestown, NY’s Matt Harvey will also be contending for the opening night win.   Busti, NY’s Greg Johnson will be back to defend his 2015 Sugar Grove Beverage Outlaw E-Mod championship and will be joined by Garland, PA’s David Scott and Warren, PA’s Butch Southwell, both multiple time champions.    New this year will be the Rusted Nutz Pro-Mods. 2015 Street Stock Champion Jason Covey will led the charge for the first ever Pro-Mod win. Justin Carlson, Zach Johnson, and Kelly Frederes will also be competing in the class, which will compete as a weekly division at Stateline this summer.   The Himes Auction Super Sportsmen will return for the 2016 season with defending champion Dan Nocero Jr expected to be in contention for the win. All five racing Kosinskis will likely be there to prevent Nocero from repeating.    The Fox's Pizza Street Stocks Championship will be wide open with 2016 champion Covey moving up to the new Pro-Mods. Tony Marotto, Guy Adams, Jason Dobson, and Mark Ramsey will be in tight action for the opening night win and the championship. Former class champion Mike Moore plans a comeback this season and plans to  be at the front of the pack.    Tidioute, PA’s Andy Proper had a “career” year last summer, winning all but one feature in the Bailey’s Towing and Recovery Challenger division. A full field of the front-wheel drive compacts will be trying to stop his win-streak!   The New Stateline Speedway Presented by Lite House Auto is located south of Jamestown, NY on Kortright Rd in the town of Busti, NY races every Saturday with activities getting underway promptly at 7:00 PM.
