Bill Law Memorial set for Crate Late Models at Stateline Speedway!

May 11, 2016

Busti, NY (May 11, 2016), 2016): Bill Law was a man with a vision for racing in this area. That vision was Crate Late Model Racing. Through his efforts Stateline Speedway Presented by lite House Auto began including the class in its weekly racing card. In his memory a 25-lap feature for the Shults Auto Group RUSH Crate Late Models will be presented by Jack’s Tap House in Warren, PA. On opening night young Wyatt Scott fulfilled his dream of winning his first feature event, withstanding a strong challenge on a lap nineteen restart from his cousin Ryan Scott. Veterans Dave Lyon, Andy Boozel, and Scott Gurdak filled out the top five at the stripe.

The Overhead a door of Jamestown Super Late Model feature was dominated by young Max Blair, who lapped up to the fourth place machine in the twenty-five lap main event, besting runner-up Dave Scott by ten seconds at the checkers. Chris Hackett, Chad Valone, and John Lobb filled out the top five.

Twelve laps into the Sugar Grover Beverage Outlaw E-Mod finale David Scott got by both leader Troy Carr and second-place Greg Johnson, for the lead then led the remaining laps to his first home track win of the season. Johnson eventually got by Carr for second with Carr third, Butch Southwell fourth, and Michael McGee fifth.

The first-ever Rusted Nutz Pro-Mod feature was won by Justin Carlson over Kelly Frederes and Scott Gurdak.

Defending Himes Auction Super Sportsman champion Dan Nocero Jr took over at the front of the pack and went on to open his title defense with a win over Ted Kosinski and Mike Kosinski.

Gary Fisher led the Fox Pizza Street Stocks from green to checkers, winning over Bill Reeves and Dave Shagla.

Defending Bailey’s Towing and Recovery Super Challenger Champion Andy Proper took over the lead at the end of six laps and went on to the win over Dana Haner, who took over second on the final lap from early leader Todd Hanlon.
