Full night of action this week at Stateline, Bobby Schnars Tribute, veterans admitted to grandstands free!

May 25, 2016

Busti, NY (May 25, 2016): After two weeks of rainouts Stateline Speedway Presented by LiteHouse Auto has juggled its schedule, re-scheduling the Sportsman Special to June 11. The Bill Law Memorial will be re-scheduled to a date later this summer. Veterans with military ID (Form DD214) will be admitted to the fan area free as part of Stateline’s Memorial Day tribute. The track and racers will remember 79-Super Late Model feature winner (plus 25-time Sportsman feature winner) Bobby Schnars, who passed from this life May 22.

All seven divisions will be in action, headed by the Overhead Door of Jamestown Super Late Models. Max Blair won on opening night, the only night races were held in this very rainy month. Dave Scott, a winner last fall, was second with Chris Hackett third.

Wyatt Scott drove to Victory Lane for the first time in his career opening night in the Shults Auto Group RUSH Crate Late Model feature. Ryan Scott wound up second with Dave Lyon third.

David Scott dominated the Sugar Grove Beverage Outlaw E-Mod feature opening night with 2015 champion Greg Johnson second and Troy Carr third. E-Mod veteran Justin Carlson led Kelly Frederes and Scott Gurdak to the checkers in the first-ever Rusted Nutz Pro-Mods feature. Ten racers were in attendance for the first run of the new class with several more expected to be ready to race this week.

Defending champion Dan Nocero Jr led brothers Ted and Michael Kosinski to the finish of the Himes Auction Super Sportsmen feature while the Fox Pizza Street Stock veteran, Gary Fisher, came to the checkers first over Bill Reeves and Dave Shagla. 2015 champion Andy Proper won the opening night Bailey’s Towing & Recovery Super Challengers feature with Dana Haner second and Travis Darling third.
