“Sweetheart Special” plus “Grand Opening” this Saturday at Stateline Speedway!

Busti, NY (August 17, 2016): Jim and Jean Scott will celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary at the end of August. To celebrate the longevity of their romance a “Sweetheart Special” will be held for the Overhead Door of Jamestown Super Late Models at the New Stateline Speedway by LiteHouse Auto. The premier class over the past sixty years will contest a fifty-lap feature that will by sanctioned by the Ufo Series with stars of the central Pennsylvania-based sanction to invade and try to wrest the $5000 winner’s purse from the local contingent, including Max Blair, David Scott, John Lobb, Dutch Davies, Rich Gardner, Chris Hackett, Dave Hess Jr, Doug Eck, and Darrell Bossard, all feature winners this summer. Past champions Greg Oakes and Rob Blair will also be in contention as well as the Ufo invaders, expected to include points leader Kyle Hardy, Gregg Satterlee, Alex Feree, Jason Covert, Keith Barbara, Devin Friese, Dylan Yoder, Dan Angelicchio, Dwayne Tanneyhill, and others. A pill draw will determine starting position for the heat races. No points will be at stake in this special event.

Also the town of Busti, NY will welcome the speedway with a "ribbon cutting” wth dignitaries present, including Senator Cathy Young, Assemblyman Andrew Goodell, and Jess Robbins, Town of Busti Supervisor. The Busti police and fire chiefs will also be present.  

The Shults Auto Group RUSH Crate Late Models, the Rusted Nutz ProMods, Himes Auction Super Sportsmen, and Bailey's Towing & Recovery Super Challengers will also be in action, all racing regular length features with points awarded in all the other participating classes.

 The Shults Auto Group RUSH Crate Late Models will race a regular-length feature event. With points being awarded for this event and the season winding down, every position will be extremely important to the racers. Ryan Scott currently holds a sixteen point advantage over Damian Bidwell, who in turn, is another 53-points ahead of Darrell Bossard.

Kelly Frederes currently has a 64-point edge in the first-ever Rusted Nutz ProMod title chase over Scott Gurdak. Jason Covey is third another 33-points back.

Jim Kibbe and Dan Nocero Jr, both former Himes Auction Super Sportsmen champion, have each won five features this summer and are separated by a razor-thin margin of only two points as the championship winds down. Michael Kosinski is third, another 295 points back.

Andy Proper has dominated the Bailey’s Towing& Recovery Super Challenger feature races with seven wins in the ten weeks of racing, building a huge lead of 477 points over Skip Jackson, a single winner. Kevin Covell, not yet a winner this summer, is third, another 104-points back.  

The New Stateline Speedway Presented by Lite House Auto is located south of Jamestown, NY on Kortright Rd in the town of Busti, NY races every Saturday with activities getting underway promptly at 7:00 PM. Pit gates open at 4 PM with fan gates opening at 5. Tickets for this very special event are $20 for adults, $10 for seniors (62 and over) and college students with current school ID, and veterans with ID, $10 for kids 6-15, with 5 and under always free. Pit admission is $35. For this Ufo-sanctioned event Super Late Models will have a $25 entry fee.
