Autograph Night Rescheduled for July 7th along with "Run What You Brung" Super Late Models

July 7, 2018  |  by Jay Pees

One of the fans favorite nights comes to Stateline Speedway as we hold our annual “Autograph Night”. At intermission the race cars will be parked on the front straight and the fans will be invited onto the racing surface to meet the drivers and crews, visit and get programs and memorabilia autographed. Many crews will be giving away candy, photos, and other gifts for fans of all ages! This night is always a hit with fans, especially the younger set. It’s the fan’s annual chance to get close to the men and machines that thrill them each week during the summer.

Of course, the reason the fans are there is for the racing. With the unusually wet spring this year only one points-paying event has been held. As a result Jared Miley leads the Overhead Door of Jamestown Super Late Model standings by six points over Alex Feree. Another four points back is Wyatt Scott, a rookie to Super Late Model competition. Then it’s another four points back to the veteran, Dave Hess Jr with another veteran, Boom Briggs, another seven points back, filling out the top five. Miley has the only win in the division this season.

The RUSH Crate Late Models are led by Max Blair, the opening night winner. Damian Bidwell currently holds second in the standings seven points out of the lead with Darrell Bossard another thirteen points back. Matthew Sipes if fourth, three behind Bossard with former champion Kyle Zimmerman and Sam Pinnacchio tied for fifth another two points behind Sipes.

Veteran Rusted Nutz Auto Repair Outlaw E-Mod campaigner Joel Watson won opening night and holds a fourteen point advantage over Michael Altobelli, who has a four point cushion over third-running Michael McGee. McGee has a five point spread back to Greg Johnson in fourth with another six points back to Justin Carlson.

Defending RUSH Pro-Mod Champion Dennis Lunger won on opening night and leads the standings over Adam Ashcroft, Justin Carlson, Jason Covey, and Chad Carlson.

Dillon Speer leads the Challengers by sixteen points over Holden Heineman, then nine more back to Chris Knisley, another three points down is Brandon Huffman. Fifth is Dylan Greene, seven markers behind Huffman.

Regular admission pricing is in effect for the week. Gates open at 5:00 PM. Grandstands: Adults $15, Seniors and Veterans $10, Students (11-15) $8, 10 and under FREE! Pit Gates open at 4:00 PM with pit entry $30 for all ages. FREE Parking and FREE Dry Camping.
