Exciting race weekend coming for Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stocks at New Stateline Speedway

The Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series is excited about the upcoming back-to-back events on Saturday, July 14, at the New Stateline Speedway located at 4150 Kortwright Road, Jamestown, NY and Sunday, July 15th at Tri City Raceway Park located at 3430 Route 417, Franklin, PA. The weekend could have one lucky pro stock driver bringing home at least $3,211.   Saturday’s event at the New Stateline Speedway will be a 25-lap race paying $1,200 to-win, $150 to-start with a B feature paying $250 to-win if over 35 stock cars register for the event. The series will return to Stateline after a two year hiatus and are anxious to visit the New York 1/3 mile track under the direction of the Scott Family.  It is a full schedule of 6 PAK racing, along with the Elite Modified Touring Series!  Racing action starts at 7:00 PM at Stateline Speedway!  See our schedule for event details.   

Sunday’s event deemed “Ray’s Race” at Tri City Raceway is in memory of Ray Virgile and will be a 30-lap race paying $2,011 to-win, $150 to-start with a B feature paying $200 to-win if over 35 stock cars register for the race. Owner of RK Virgile Scrap Metals, Ray sponsored many area race car drivers, as well as many local race tracks throughout the years. Two dashes are on the schedule for “Ray’s Race” with one dash consisting of the cars/drivers sponsored by RK Virgile Scrap Metals, while the other dash will be the top heat race finishers and will determine A Main starting order. The Homak Penn Ohio Series will be charging a $35 registration fee each race for all drivers participating in the events. All drivers will be eligible for a Hoosier tire donated by Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic/Precise Racing and an American Racer tire donated by Lias Tire. 2018 Homak Penn Ohio Series’ registered members will be eligible for additional contingency prizes donated by various Homak Penn Ohio sponsors including a wheel donated by SS Chassis & Supply, a case of racing oil donated by Les Frickshun, racing products donated by Precise Racing and Dirt Defender LLC, gift certificates donated by ARbodies, Genesis Shocks, Close Racing Products, Wedge Motorsports, Big Daddy’s Speed Center, ADMAX, and Aero Wheels.

The season has really just begun for the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series and the point chase is certainly up for grabs with drivers chomping at the bit to be the top dog. Three-time Series’ Point Champion, Chris Schneider #55 leads the way after two out of 13 series’ events. Schneider was able to capture his first ever Ed Laboon Memorial win at PPMS to put him at the top of the points battle. Show-up points were awarded to all Series’ members who participated in the Steel Valley Pro Stock Nationals at Sharon Speedway. Currently 2nd through 10th place include Todd Weldon #45; Andrew Gordon #25A; Rob Shook #64; Rusty Martz #16M; Jason Fosnaught #73; Randy Wyant #11T; 2017 Point Champion Bobby Whitling #7W; Chris McGuire #63; and Curtis Bish #29. The point battle will certainly be intense and provide great stock car racing over the next few months. Fans and drivers will not want to miss these Series’ events!
