Stateline Speedway falls to rain, special planned for Friday, September 18!

September 12, 2015

Busti, NY (September 12, 2015): Persistent rain falling from late Friday through early afternoon has soaked the racetrack at the New Stateline Speedway presented by Lite House Auto that management was forced to cancel this evening’s activities. Points have been declared final for the season but the final event has been rescheduled for next Friday, September 18 at the special starting time of 7:30 PM, one-half hour later than normal.    Although Little Valley Speedway originally had an event scheduled for Friday, they graciously cancelled their event so that Stateline could get in one more event. The night will be headlined by a $3000 to win Super Late Model feature with all classes running. The Challengers, Sportsmen, and Limited Late Models will contest only features but the other classes will run a regular card of events. As an act of cooperation with Little Valley Speedway, Stateline will post an extra $1000 bonus for any Super Late Model driver who can win Stateline’s Friday event and then repeat the feat at Little Valley Saturday. With each track paying $3000 plus the bonus, it is possible for a driver to win $7000 on the weekend!   The Street Stock division will be racing for a special purse of $500 to win   The points final tally showed Greg Oakes winning his first-ever Overhead Door of Jamestown Super Late Model title by 74-points over John Lobb. Both were single winners this season.   Jason Genco, a two-time feature winner, captured his first-ever Shults Auto Group RUSH Crate Late Model championship by 71-markers over three-time winner Damian Bidwell.    Greg Johnson was the first-time Sugar Grove Beverage E-Mod champion by 74-points over Ron Seeley who had not gone to Victory Lane this season.    Ryan Scott collected two wins on his way to another Limited Late Model championship, his second in a row, over winless Bill Reeves.   Three-time feature winner Dan Nocero won yet another Sportsmen championship by a comfortable 173-point margin over Matt Kosinski, not yet a feature winner.   Jason Covey squeezed out the Street Stock title by a slim thirty point edge over Tony Marotto, who had not yet visited Victory Lane.   The largest victory margin was enjoyed by Andy Proper, winning his first title by 268-point margin over Thomas Cupp, thanks to a dominating season that included five feature wins in the six contested.   The New Stateline Speedway Presented by Lite House Auto is located south of Jamestown, NY on Kortright Rd in the town of Busti, NY races Saturday's in the summer with activities getting underway promptly at 7 PM.
