On the next green Brian Crandall spun in turn two, stalling on the racing surface and yet again slowing the field. With five laps remaining Shagla was up to second and challenging for the lead. As the field took the two lap signal Courson again spun, again bringing out yellow. At the while flag Reeves came back to second. Fisher took the checkers with Reeves second, Shagla third, Brad Church fourth, and Bill Best fifth.
