Bill Law Memorial winner’s purse increased!

May 19, 2016

Super Sportsmen also racing for increased cash in the Welder's Supply Special.   Busti, NY (May 19, 2016): The family of Bill Law has increased the winner’s purse for the Bill Law Memorial by Jack's Tap House for the Shults Auto Group Crate Late Models to $1400 to win, in honor of the number 14 that was on the side of the racers Law owned. Law was instrumental in bringing the Shults Auto Group Crate Late Models to Stateline for one date in 2010, then as a weekly class in 2011. Law passed away on July 27, 2012 but the memory of Crate Late Model racing’s Stateline founder will live on with all race fans. We celebrate his life every year with gratitude. Kyle Scott, the last driver Bill Law worked with, has moved up to the Super Late Models but his heart will be with the Crate Lat Models for this special tribute.  Kyle’s younger brother Wyatt won the opening event at Stateline this season, his first ever feature win. Cousin Ryan Scott was second on opening night and will be looking to improve that finish by one spot.    Other drivers expected to contend for the win will be Darrell Bossard, Damian Bidwell, twice the Stateline Crate Late Model champion, and Max Blair, running both the Shults Auto Group Crate Late Models and winner of the opening night in the Overhead Door of Jamestown Super Late Models. A full field of the RUSH Crate Late Models is expected. Can Blair become the first driver to win both Late Model classes on the same night?   All of Stateline’s regular classes will be running with the Himes Auction Company Super Sportsmen running a twenty lap feature for $350 to win with sponsorship from Welder's Supply. Max Blair (Overhead Door of Jamestown Super Late Models), Wyatt Scott (Shults Auto Group RUSH Crate Late Models), David Scott (Sugar GroveBeverage Outlaw E-Mods) Gary Fisher (Fox Pizza Street Stocks), Justin Carlson (Rusted Nutz Pro E-Mods), Dan Nocero (Himes Auction Super Sportsmen), and Andy Proper (Bailey’s Towing & Recovery Super Challengers) were all feature race winners opening night.    There will be no increase in gate fees for this very special evening of racing excitement!   The New Stateline Speedway Presented by Lite House Auto is located south of Jamestown, NY on Kortright Rd in the town of Busti, NY races every Saturday with activities getting underway promptly at 7:00 PM. Pit gates open at 4 PM with fan gates opening at 5. Tickets for regular events are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors (65 and over) and college students with current school ID, and veterans with ID, $8 for kids 6-15, with 5 and under always free.
