With five consecutive rainouts delaying the start of the 2018 season Stateline Speedway will try again Saturday to open with two very special events.

The Overhead Door of Jamestown Super Late Models will celebrate owner Jim Scott’s 80th birthday with an 80-lap feature that will pay a whopping $8,000 to win. The Rusted Nutz Outlaw E-Mods will Race for 30 laps and $2,000 to win in the Paula Southwell Memorial. In addition to the two featured events, the RUSH Crate Late Models, RUSH ProMods, Penn-Ohio Pro Stocks and Challengers will all run a full program of heats and features.

Hot laps will start at 6:30 followed by the National Anthem. Time trials for the Overhead Door of Jamestown Super Late Models will immediately follow the National Anthem . Heat events will begin at the conclusion of time trials. The Overhead Door of Jamestown Super Late Models will be the only class doing hot laps and time trials.

Rain checks from last week will be honored at face value for any event through June 23. For this week and June 23, the rain checks from May 26 will be all that is needed for entry to the grandstands. For the Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions event on Saturday, June 9, and the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series event on Thursday, June 14, rain checks will be worth $20 towards the full ticket price. Pit passes from last week will likewise be accepted at face value toward pit passes for the special events.

Stateline Speedway on Kortwright Road in Busti, N.Y., has been in continuous operation since 1956 and is currently owned by Jim and Jean Scott and Dave Turner. Racing is presented every Saturday night during the racing season, this year from April 28 through Aug. 31 plus special events and practices. The 2018 season will conclude on Sept. 3 with an Enduro.
