World of Outlaws Late Model Series Driver Safety Requirements

Note: We are adding these to the New Stateline Speedway website so that our regular drivers who don't travel with the series know what the requirements are if they plan to race with them on Thursday, June 14. 

  • Driver must wear gloves at all times when the car is on the track.
  • Driver must have an up to date racing suit and in good condition.
  • Driver's helmet must be Snell and/or SFI-approved and in good condition.
  • Driver must wear a head and neck restraint (a neck brace will not be allowed).
  • Seat belts must be less than two (2) years old.
  • Driver must have full containment seat (if driver has the two SFI 39.2 stickers, driver will get a 25 lb. weight break).
  • Driver must have an onboard fire suppression system (10 lb. bottle).
  • Fuel cell must have bladder/foam/treaded cap and/or ATL 1/4 turn bullet cap part #TF751.
  • Mud plugs must be bolted on with three (3) 1/4-5-16 diameter steel bolts.
  • All weights must be painted white and have two (2) bolts with the car number.
  • Driver's side intrusion plate is required to race.
  • Driver must have a shut-off switch behind the driver’s seat.

** Each car and safety equipment will be inspected prior to being able to participate in any on-track event. **
