Busti, NY (April 18, 2019): Stateline Speedway will open for the 64th consecutive season on this coming Saturday night, April 27th with the "Season Opener”. The first event of the season will take the green flag at 7 PM.
An open practice will be held Friday, April 26, starting at 6 PM. Grandstand admission will be free for fans and pit admission will be $20 per person.
All six classes will be in competition for opening night with the Dave Warren Auto Group Super Late Models racing, along with the other five classes. Throughout its history the Super Late Models have been the featured class at Stateline and will have “specials” including a Mother’s Day $2,734 to Win, A Northeast Ultimate Super Late Model sanctioned special that will pay $5,000 to the winner, and an appearance by the World of Outlaws Late Models in a post-season special paying a whopping $10,000 to win!
Points racing will commence on April 27th with a regular card for all classes plus a “Parade of Champions”. May 4 will feature the front wheel drive Zeleznik Trucking Challengers racing twenty laps for $1,000 to win. All Mothers will be honored on the night before Mother’s Day, May 11 with the Super Late Model feature running 34 laps and paying $2,734 to the winner. The RUSH Late Models will be in the spotlight on May 18 when the man who brought crate late model racing to this area, Bill Law, will be honored with a Memorial Race paying $2,000 to win. The Northeast Ultimate Late Models will return Memorial Day weekend with a 37-lap, $5,000 to win special.
Paula Southwell, daughter of E-Mod competitor Butch Southwell, will be remembered with a special for the Rusted Nutz Garage E-Mods on June 1. On Saturday, June 8 Tony Stewart’s Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions will be racing. The Dave Warren Auto Group Super Late Models will run a regular card of heats and a feature but all other regular classes will be off.
The RUSH Sprints and the RUSH ProMods will be in the spotlight June 15 with the popular BRP Modified Tour returning on June 22. June 29 will feature a perennial fan-favorite, the annual “Autograph Night”, when all competitors will be parked on the front straight during intermission and fans allowed on the track surface for autographs and interaction with drivers and crews. Adult admission for Autograph Night will be only $10. On July 6 veterans (with proper ID) and baseball kids (must be in uniform) will be admitted free. Soccer kids (must be in uniform) will be admitted free on July 20.
The next ‘special’ will be an appearance by the Penn-Ohio Street Stocks for a $1000 to win feature, the biggest payout of the year for the class. Fan Appreciation Night “Pack the Stands Night” will be July 27 with $5 admission for all, the biggest bargain of the year!
On August 3 & August 17th there will be a full schedule of "6 Pak Racing." Champions will be determined on the final points event, August 31.
The final event of the season will be on September 19 with the highest-paying event of the year for the Dave Warren Auto Group Super Late Models, an appearance by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, which will pay $10,000 to win! The RUSH Late Models and the Rusted Nutz Garage E-Mods will also be racing at the season-ending event.
Stateline Speedway on Kortwright Road in Busti, NY, has been in continuous operation since 1956 and is currently owned by Jim and Jean Scott and Dave Turner. Racing is presented every Saturday night during the racing season, this year from April 20 through August 31 plus special events and practices.
