Racing Returns 8/17 With Discounts for Motorcycles, Veterans, and Student Baseball Players!

Busti, NY (August 15, 2019): Motorcycles will fill the area behind the front straight bleachers Saturday night. Two adults on a motorcycle will be admitted for only $20! Kids in baseball uniforms up to age sixteen and military veterans in uniform or with valid ID will be admitted into the fans bleachers free of charge! 

 

Racing will include all six classes headed by the Dave Warren Auto Group Super Late Models. Four-time winner Max Blair leads the championship standings by 120-points over defending champion Ryan Scott, who won his first ever Super Late Model feature on June 8. Darrell Bossard is third, a mere nine points behind Scott. Then it’s another 137-points back to three-time champion Dutch Davies. Jake Finnerty is fifth, yet another 13-points back. 

 

Blair also heads up the Close Racing Supply RUSH Late Model standings, 65-points over August 3 winner Scott Gurdak. Bossard is third, 27-points behind Gurdak, with Ward Shell another 99-points behind. Former champion Jason Genco is fifth, 17 behind Schell. 

 

The Outlaw E-Mods are led by defending champion and three-time winner Dennis Lunger, who holds a 79 point edge over Cale Crocker, also a three-time winner. Steve Rex, who won his first-ever Outlaw E-mod feature on July 13, then backed it up with a second win on August 3, is third, another 83-points back. Randy Hall is fourth and Butch Southwell fifth. Greg Johnson also has a win, that coming on June 29.

 

Defending Penn-Ohio Pro Stock champion John Boardman is leading that division by 75-points over two-time winner and former champion Dave Shagla, whose second win this season came August 3. Jason Black, who won his first-ever Pro Stock feature on July 20, is third, 49 behind Shagla. Steve Yokum is fourth with opening night winner Jason Covey fifth. Shane Applebee got the win June 22 and Hunter Exley won on July 13. 

 

Dennis Lunger also leads in the Chris Whyte’s Spray Foam Options RUSH Pro-Mods on the strength of five victories. His lead is 96-points over Adam Ashcroft, the June 29 winner. Chad Carlson, a two-time winner and a former champion, is third, 15 behind Ashcroft. July 20 winner Scott Gurdak is fourth and Jarrod Silvis is fifth. 

 

Rick Feely, not yet a visitor to Victory Lane, leads the Challengers by 152-points over Holden Heineman, also without a win this season. August 3 winner Chris Horton is third, only six-points behind Heineman withTyler Walters another sixteen back in fourth, and John Mease another 52-points back in fifth. Wins have been recorded by Greg Marsh, Nicole Condron, Todd Hanlon, Casey Burch (twice), John Zeleznik (twice), Willie Van Guilder, and Horton. 

 

Regular ticket pricing will be in effect for this special event with adult tickets at $15, Seniors (over 62) at $10, and students (11-17) for $8. A family pack (2 adults and up to four children) is $35. Special for this week will be $20 for two on a motorcycle! Of course, kids 10 and under are always free. Pit entry is $35 for all ages. Anyone under the age of 17 must have a completed “Minor Release Form”signed by parents and notarized for entry into the pit area.  

 

Stateline Speedway on Kortwright Road in Busti, NY, has been in continuous operation since 1956 and is currently owned by Jim and Jean Scott and Dave Turner. Racing is presented every Saturday night during the racing season, this year through August 31 (except August 10 and August 24), plus special events and practices.
